Vegan Manchurian Balls!



Ingredients for the vegan balls! 
 finely chop 1 green pepper, 1 cabbage, few carrot, beans , 1 minced onion  ,minced cilantro, minced green chills or jalapeños or seranno peppers or habaneros depending on your spice intake  rating :P
little all-purpose flour
little cornflour
1/2 tbsp rice flour
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tsp soy sauce 
 black pepper powder
warm water as required (less than 1/2 cup is needed)
salt to taste
 use an egg or egg whites , if you will as binder . use very  little water.

mix everything together until they are sticky and firm enough to form small balls! if they are not firm - adjust by adding more all purpose and corn  flour to get desired texture. 

once you have the balls made - deep fry them in some neutral oil ( not olive oil) .  I usually shallow fry them .
Set it aside for 5 mins and let it cool and set . Make sure the balls are firm and not falling apart. 

Ingredients for Sauce : 
mince 1/2 onion very fine,  
6 - 8 cloves garlic  -very finely minced , 
finely mince green chillis 

sauté the above together in little hot oil for 2 to 3 mins . 
add 
a tsp of corn flour ,soy sauce - 3 or 4 tea spoons ,1/2 teaspoon vinegar ,and 2 -3 tsp ketchup. 

and let it simmer in low heat until the sauce is slightly thick. 
Add the veg balls into the sauce and make sure all the veg balls are coated with the sauce. 
Garnish with chopped spring onions /cilantro/thinly sliced green chills  and serve . 

If you want more gravy , you can add a little water while preparing the sauce and make it more watery!!! I don't like that personally though!!!
